| HISTORY
In the early 1970's Cross Studio was purchased by Murray and Helen Moore and the name changed to "Moore's Camera Corner'. In 1973 Colin Bywaters was employed on a casual basis by Murray & Helen Moore to photographe partie and weddings. In March 1975 Colin was employed as a full time employee and started Busselton's first Colour Laboratory printing all professional work (weddings, portraits, etc). At this time Colin was president of the Busselton Camera Club and also a member of the 'Western Australian Photogrraphic Federation', of which he served a term as Hon Secretary and Vice President. October 1977 saw Moore's Camera Corner being sold to Mr Fred Oostryck, whom actually rang the business to purchase a flash gun for his camera but bought the business instead, changing the name to 'Busselton Photographic Centre'. Colin Bywaters remained as a staff member.

Busselton Photographic Centre was born more than 50 years ago by the late Mr George Cross under the name of 'CROSS STUDIO'. 
March 1979 and Busselton Photographic Centre changed owners again, this time being purchased by Mr Trevor Fitzgerald. Colin Bywaters was appointed manager and has been at the helm since that date, and along with his wife Marilyn, purchased the business in July 1990. Marilyn and Colin have run BUSSELTON PHOTOGRAPHIC CENTRE with the assistance of their very capable staff since then and look forward to the ever changing future.
